Room temperature probes should be of high quality and at the same time most cost-efficient. Heating and air conditioning systems can only be operated efficiently if the indoor probes measure the temperature reliably and within specification. At the same time, the probe should operate with long-term stability over its entire service life of 15 years.

How does an indoor probe work?
Room temperature probes measure the air temperature and transmit the value to the heating system. This allows the heating or air conditioning system to control the heating output so that the room temperature remains constant at the value set on the thermostats, even if weather conditions change. For correct operation, on the one hand, it is necessary to have a faultless installation in a place free of environmental disturbances. In addition, the characteristic curve of the probe should match the one stored in the heating system.

What are the different types of indoor probes?
All room temperature probes have one feature in common: The measuring element is installed in a housing and is protected by it. The housing also contains the connection terminals to which the user can connect his cable for signal processing. To ensure an optimal air supply, the housings have air inlet slots. Therefore, the indoor probes may only be used indoors. The housing designs differ only in appearance.
We offer a room temperature probe in the classic design. This measures the air temperature in the room.
Our room radiation probe is used to measure the radiant heat for safe and constant temperature detection and control indoors.

What do I have to consider when mounting the indoor probe?
Our indoor probes are supplied with mounting material. You can find the information about the drill holes in the operating instructions. There you will also find information on the exact installation location. You should avoid disturbing influences such as sunlight, but also heat sources such as windows or air vents. Please also make sure that the air movement is not obstructed by furniture or curtains and thus does not reach your room temperature probe. Please also order a suitable connection cable, this is not included in the scope of delivery. Depending on the installation location, it may be useful to order a sunshade or a ball throw protection.
